Frequently asked questions
Is my letter public?
Yes. Every published letter is public. Drafts are private until you submit them for review.
Can I edit or delete a letter after it is published?
No. Arweave records cannot be edited or deleted. We can hide the letter from our website, but the original record may still be readable through Arweave gateways. Please review carefully before you submit.
Does the blockchain prove I wrote it?
No. Arweave proves that certain data was stored at a certain time. It does not verify identity, authorship, truthfulness or legal validity.
Can I use a pen name?
Yes. The author name shown on the letter can be any name, as long as it does not impersonate a real person.
Why do I pay before the review?
So your letter can be published the moment a moderator approves it. If we decline it, or you withdraw it before it is published, you get a full refund.
What happens if my letter is not approved?
We explain what needs to change. You edit it and submit again without paying again. If you would rather not publish, withdraw it and we refund you in full.
How do I pay?
When you submit your letter, pay in NPR with eSewa or Khalti. We confirm every payment with the provider.
How long does publishing take?
Review usually takes less than a day after payment. After approval, the upload normally confirms within minutes, but the network can sometimes take longer.
What is the QR code for?
It opens the public page of your letter. You can print it on a card, frame or gift.
How can I check a letter is real?
Use the Verify page with a Shilalekh ID such as SL-26-ABCD1234 or an Arweave transaction ID.
Can I report a letter?
Yes. Every letter page has a report link. We review reports and can hide letters that break our policy.
